6 Recipes to Make in May 2025

These lovely May recipes feature the beginnings of some classic warm-weather treats, perfect for indoor dining or out.

Homemade sauerkraut salad with a mixing spoon in a large glass mixing bowl.

With summer just on the horizon, May reminds us to enjoy the coolness of spring and all of the delicate flavors of the month's harvest. I love restocking the fridge with fresh herbs and greens in May, and adding more raw veggies to snacks and lunches.

I also find myself pulling out the Mason jars again and getting ready to do some home fermentation during the summer months. (I always start things off with these savory fermented carrots; so good!) It's a great way to preserve any extra produce that comes into the kitchen, especially from a farmers market haul or two. 🙂
