- Prep: Thinly slice the cucumbers and red onion. Slice and toast the bagel.⅛ cucumber, 2 slices red onion, 1 bagel
- Assemble: Spread the cream cheese on each bagel half, followed by the smoked salmon, cucumber, red onion and capers. Season with salt and pepper if desired.2 ounces cream cheese, 1 ounce smoked salmon, 1 tablespoon capers, dash sea salt, dash freshly ground black pepper

Storage: Assembled bagel with lox is best eaten immediately but could be stored in the fridge or a chilled lunch box for a few hours.
