It's my joyful little corner of the internet where I share simple recipes for one and celebrate the wins. Like quick satisfying breakfasts, fresh seasonal soups and salads, and hands-off dinners. And of course cozy desserts. Because balance is a beautiful thing. ❤️

Experience
Allison credits the beginnings of her lifelong love of seasonal cooking to growing up in rural Boulder, Colorado with a large backyard garden and daily salads that consisted of whatever happened to be growing that day. Cooking wasn't something that was learned after the fact; it was simply part of her every day.
Eventually making her way to her current home in downtown Boston by way of New York, Allison also became influenced by the likes of Reuben sandwiches, sourdough and kimchi which have helped shaped her culinary concept as she started experimenting with incorporating fermented foods into her recipes.
At the same time, she also recognized a growing need for single serving recipes that were both fresh and wholesome yet fast and easy to make for life's busiest seasons. This would eventually lead to her decision to create the food blog, One Happy Dish, to share these joyful and simple recipes and build a community.
