    5 Must-Try Recipes with Miso

If you have some extra miso paste on hand, these lovely recipes with miso will make excellent use of it.

    Did you know?

Miso paste is a Japanese seasoning and famed fermented food made from soybeans that have been fermented by using salt and a variety of fungus called koji. The fermentation process can actually take up to a year or more, and it is this process that is responsible for altering the taste of the soybeans into the distinct "umami" flavor of miso we all know and love.

After making a batch of miso butter last week, I realized that I really should have a collection of recipes dedicated just to miso. It's such a wonderfully complex and yet still subtle flavor that makes all the difference in the right dish. Here are some of my favorite recipes with miso, and I promise they're all super easy to make!

And if you love cooking with fermented foods as much as I do and want some more ideas, you have to try these Greek yogurt recipes or these sauerkraut recipes next. 🙂
