If you're looking for the perfect summer smoothie recipe to beat the heat, this strawberry and peach smoothie is the one. With just a touch of honey and no added processed sugar, this fruit smoothie is one you can feel great about.

So, I've had a little bit of a smoothie problem lately. Every breakfast lately has been a smoothie, and with no end in sight (send help.) 😉 But in all seriousness, I actually can't think of a more refreshing way to start the day... Fresh, icy, blended REAL fruit with no processed sugar or weird ingredients sounds pretty awesome to me.

This particular fruit smoothie was inspired by my peach smoothie-but I just had to get some strawberries in there too, for good measure. If you'd looking for other great smoothie recipes, definitely try this easy green smoothie, this delightful blue smoothie or this refreshing mixed berry smoothie; all three are in constant rotation here! And if you're more of a smoothie bowl kind of person, definitely try this 5-minute fruit smoothie bowl.

❤️ Why you'll love this recipe

  • Takes just 5 minutes to make
  • Use frozen fruit year round, or seasonal fresh fruit
  • Customize with your favorite choice of milk or plant milk
  • No added processed sugar
  • Kid-friendly and approved

🌿 Ingredients

The ingredients are for this smoothie recipe are minimal and easily found at any large grocery store. If you happen to have fresh strawberries or ripe peaches on hand, even better!

Pro tip: If you are using fresh fruit, freezing it first works best but if you don't have time to, simply add some extra ice to make your smoothie cold and icy.

I love soy milk in this recipe, but feel free to swap out with another favorite milk or some plain regular or Greek yogurt (add a little extra water to thin the yogurt, if needed.)

📝 Instructions

As promised, this easy recipe takes just minutes to make. Simply add the ingredients into your blender, milk, water and bananas first, followed by the frozen fruits and honey.

Increase your blender speed gradually, and add a little extra water if needed to thin. Or if you have one, you can use the plunger that came with your blender to gently push the fruit mixture down into the blender as needed.

📋 Substitutions

As written, this fruit smoothie recipe is vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free. Feel free to make either of the following substitutions to customize it.

  • Soy free - substitute almond, oat or coconut milk instead, or use any kind of dairy milk or yogurt (add a little extra water to thin the yogurt if needed)
  • Vegan - use agave syrup or maple syrup instead of honey

📖 Variations

Here are a few delicious variations on this smoothie; I love the protein version for breakfast smoothies.

  • Peach smoothie - skip the strawberries and use some frozen pineapple instead
  • Strawberry Banana Smoothie - try this classic recipe if you don't have any peaches on hand
  • Strawberry Peach Protein Smoothie - add 1-2 scoops of plain or vanilla protein powder

🔪 Equipment

Here is the equipment you'll need to make this smoothie recipe:

  • professional-grade blender or standard blender

A professional-grade blender will create an extra smooth texture, but a standard blender works fine too.

🍱 Storage

Strawberry peach smoothies will stay fresh in the fridge for up to 24 hours but are best when consumed immediately. They do not stand up well to freezing.

🎉 Top tip

This smoothie recipe is flexible enough to accommodate any combo of fresh or frozen fruit, so feel free to use fresh peaches or strawberries if you have them on hand (so good during the summer months!) You can add extra ice to make your smoothie more icy, or if it's too thick and icy from frozen fruits, simply add a little extra water to thin.

Enjoy!
